Ormanni statok z 13. storočia sa nachádza v srdci Chianti medzi mestami Poggibonsi a Castellina. Dôkaz o dedičstve tohto toskánskeho majetku možno nájsť v „Božskej komédii“ Dante Alighieri, v ktorej sa spomína rodina Ormanni. Za posledných 200 rokov bolo toto vinárstvo vo vlastníctve rodiny Brini Batacchi a dnes ho vedie Paolo Brini Batacchi a jeho dcéra Paola. Nehnuteľnosť Ormanni sa rozkladá na ploche 242 ha, z čoho 68 je viníc venované hlavne kultivácii Sangiovese. Majú tiež dve prekrásne strediská agroturistiky, Podere La Querce a Podere Montignano. Ormanni Chianti a Chianti Classico sú úprimné vína poháňané pôdou, ktoré sú výrazom oblasti Barberino Val d´Elsa, kde Sangiovese preberá dumavý, strohý charakter a zároveň si zachováva veľkorysé ovocné jadro.
The 13th Century Ormanni estate is located in the heart of Chianti, between the towns of Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti. Proof of the heritage of this Tuscan property can be found in Dante Alighieri’s “Divina Commedia,” where the Ormanni family is mentioned. For the last 200 years the estate has been owned by the Brini Batacchi family, and it is Paolo Brini Batacchi and his daughter, Paola, who run the winery today. The Ormanni property covers an area of 242 ha of land, 68 of which are vineyards dedicated principally to the cultivation of Sangiovese. They also have two beautiful agriturismo resorts, Podere La Querce and Podere Montignano. The Ormanni Chianti and Chianti Classico are sincere, soil-driven wines, expressive of the Barberino Val d’Elsa area, where Sangiovese takes on a brooding, austere character, while still maintaining a generous, fruity core.
