Je to Ormanniho najvyššie vyjadrenie odrody hrozna a tradície. Vyrába sa z ručne vyberaného hrozna Sangiovese z najstarších viníc v oblasti Barberino Val d'Elsa. Z našich vín je to jedno z najlepších, ktoré zvýrazňuje vlastnosti Sangiovese. Vyrába sa iba v najlepších rokoch. Tradičné víno dozrievané v drevených sudoch. Má červenú rubínovú farbu s granátovými tónmi, bohatú vôňu a zrelé červené ovocné a tabakové tóny. Zamatový tanín. Má dlhú a trvácnu chuť s veľkou jemnosťou.

It is Ormanni’s highest expression of grape variety and tradition. It is produced with hand-selected Sangiovese grapes from the oldest vineyards in the area of Barberino Val d’Elsa. Among our wines, it is the one best enhancing Sangiovese characteristics. It is only produced in the best vintages. A traditional wine long matured in wooden barrels. It has a red ruby colour with garnet hints, rich fragrance, with mature red fruit and tobacco notes. Velvety tannin. It has a long and persistent taste of great finesse.

Nehnuteľnosť Ormanni sa rozkladá na ploche 242 ha, z čoho 68 je viníc venované hlavne kultivácii Sangiovese. Majú tiež dve prekrásne strediská agroturistiky, Podere La Querce a Podere Montignano. The 13th Century Ormanni estate is located in the heart of Chianti, between the towns of Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti. Proof of the heritage of this Tuscan property can be found in Dante Alighieri’s “Divina Commedia,” where the Ormanni family is mentioned. For the last 200 years the estate has been owned by the Brini Batacchi family, and it is Paolo Brini Batacchi and his daughter, Paola, who run the winery today. The Ormanni property covers an area of 242 ha of land, 68 of which are vineyards dedicated principally to the cultivation of Sangiovese. They also have two beautiful agriturismo resorts, Podere La Querce and Podere Montignano. The Ormanni Chianti and Chianti Classico are sincere, soil-driven wines, expressive of the Barberino Val d’Elsa area, where Sangiovese takes on a brooding, austere character, while still maintaining a generous, fruity core.
